Add, remove, or change a team member

Invite teammates, choose which parts of the app they can open, and remove access.

Manage your team in the Team section of Settings > Account > General. Each teammate can open only the parts of the app you tick for them.

Invite a teammate

  1. Go to Settings > Account > General.

  2. In Team, click + (Invite teammate).

  3. Enter their First name, Last name, and Work email.

  4. Under Permissions, tick the areas they can use. All are ticked to start.

  5. Click Send invite.

They get an email to join and show as invited until they accept.

What permissions control

Permissions match the app's main menu: Dashboard, Customers, Products, Deposits, Invoices, Transactions, Reports, and Settings. A teammate sees only the areas they have. Deposits appears when your plan includes deposit requests.

Transactions covers both recording payments and issuing refunds. A teammate without Settings still gets Settings > Notifications for their own alerts.

Note: The answer to "What best describes your role?" at first sign-in doesn't change what someone can do. Only permissions do.

Change a teammate's permissions

Only the account owner can do this.

  1. In Team, click ⋯ on the teammate's row.

  2. Click Update permissions.

  3. Tick or untick areas, then click Save.

Remove a teammate

  1. In Team, click ⋯ on the teammate's row.

  2. Click Remove teammate and confirm.

Only the account owner sees this option, and the owner can't be removed. The teammate loses access right away. Their past activity stays in the audit log. To bring someone back, invite them again.

When a teammate can't sign in

Have them click Forgot password? on the sign-in page, enter their email, and click Send reset email. If their account uses Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft, there's no password to reset. They should use that button instead. See sign in and reset your password.

To change who the account owner is, or if a teammate never gets their invite or reset email, email help@streamlinedpayments.com with the teammate's name and work email.
