Match a bank deposit to your payouts

A bank deposit doesn't match anything on your Payouts report? Find the payout behind it, then the payments, invoices, and customers in it.

Each deposit from Streamlined is one payout. To see what makes up a deposit, find the payout with the same net amount on the Payouts report. Open it to see every payment, invoice, and customer it covers.

Match a deposit

  1. Go to Reports > Payouts.

  2. Sort by Payout Date and find a payout near the deposit date whose Net amount equals the deposit.

  3. Click the payout to open Payout details.

  4. Click Export CSV to download the breakdown for your books.

Payout details shows the Gross amount, Fee, and Net amount. Below that is one row for each payment, refund, and chargeback, with its Date, Type, Invoice, Payment source, Customer, Gross Amount, Fees, and Net Amount.

Two payouts on the same day arrive as two deposits. Match each on its own.

Tip: Match on the amount first, then the date. The Payout Date is when the payout was sent, and your bank can post it on a later day.

Find the deposit for a payment

Open the payment from an invoice's Balance summary or from Transactions. Once it's paid out, its details show a Payout line with the payout date. Click it to open that payout.

When a deposit isn't on the report

  • A Stripe Settlements payout that isn't paid yet. These are listed once Stripe has paid them, so check again after a business day or two. To see payouts on their way, go to Settings > Payments and, under Payouts, click Login to with the Stripe logo.

  • A deposit that isn't from Streamlined. A customer may have paid your bank directly, so check the deposit's description. If it's a customer payment, record it in Streamlined.

  • A net amount that matches no payout. A refund or chargeback may have reduced the payout.

Why the Dashboard doesn't match

The Dashboard counts payments by the date your customers paid. The Payouts report groups them by the date they were paid out, after fees, refunds, and chargebacks. So the two rarely match for a day. Reconcile your bank with the Payouts report and its CSV.

If you still can't match a deposit, email help@streamlinedpayments.com with the deposit date, the amount, and the description your bank shows.
