Scheduling a draft doesn't check it. Streamlined checks the draft on its issue date. If something is missing, it isn't issued and stays in Invoices > Scheduled.
What's checked on the issue date
The draft has a customer.
The draft has a billing address, and that address has an email.
At least one payment method is turned on in Settings > Payments.
When a check fails, Streamlined adds a failed-invoice notice to the top of the draft. It says what's wrong.
Fix the draft
Streamlined tries a failed draft again every 15 minutes. Once it's fixed, it's issued and emailed to your customer on the next try. To issue it without the email, see the next section before you fix it.
Go to Invoices > Scheduled and open the draft.
Read the notice at the top of the draft.
Click Edit draft (✎), add the missing customer, billing address, or email, and click Save.
If no payment method is on, turn one on in Settings > Payments.
To change where the invoice goes, see where customer emails go.
Issue it without the email
Open the draft and click Cancel send to move it back to your drafts.
Click Edit draft (✎), fix what the notice says, change Issue date to today, and click Save.
Click Issue invoice, and on Preview email click Issue & get link.
To pick a new date instead, click Cancel send, fix the draft, then use Send later. The checks run again on that date. See create and issue an invoice.
Tip: Before you schedule a draft, check that its Bill to address has an email.
If the draft looks complete and still won't issue, email help@streamlinedpayments.com with the invoice number and the notice you see.
