You can issue an invoice without Streamlined emailing your customer, then share the payment link however you like. Automatic reminders still go out for that invoice unless you stop them.
Issue one invoice and copy its link
Open the draft and click Issue invoice.
Continue past the credit step, if it appears, until you reach Preview email.
Click Issue & get link.
Paste the copied link into your own email or message.
If the customer's billing address has no email, you see Missing recipient email instead. Click Issue without sending email to issue it anyway.
Issue many drafts without email
In Invoices > Draft, tick the drafts.
Click Issue invoices.
Choose Issue.
Issue & send emails does the same but emails each customer.
Note: A draft with a future Issue date isn't issued now. It's scheduled, then issued and emailed on that date. To issue it now without email, change its Issue date to today first.
Scheduled invoices are always emailed
A single draft you schedule with Send later or a future Specific date is issued and emailed on that date. To skip the email:
Select it in Invoices > Scheduled and click Cancel send. It goes back to your drafts with the same Issue date.
Open the draft, click Edit draft (✎), change Issue date to today, and click Save.
Click Issue invoice, and on Preview email click Issue & get link.
If you skip step 2, the draft is scheduled again for its old date and emailed then.
Stop reminders for these invoices
Every invoice gets your automatic reminders, whether or not it was emailed when you issued it. They go out whenever the customer has an email on file.
To stop them, give the customer a tag and exclude that tag from reminders. See stop reminders for one customer.
Note: The tag stops automatic reminders for all of that customer's invoices, not only this one.
