Bring in a missing Shopify order

Find out why a Shopify order didn't import, sync it in, and what to do when a sync looks stuck.

Most missing orders are ones Streamlined skips on purpose. A sync can't bring in an order the import rules leave out, so check the order first, then sync.

Check the order in Shopify

  • Payment status: only orders with Payment pending are imported. An order paid, partially paid, or refunded at checkout is never imported.

  • Customer and address: the order needs a customer, and that customer needs at least one address.

  • Cancelled: cancelled orders aren't imported.

  • Tags: in the store's Settings, check Import Rules. With Import all orders with customer tag, the customer needs the tag. With Import all orders without tag, an order carrying the tag is skipped.

  • Already here: search Streamlined for the order number. It may already be a draft under Invoices > Draft, scheduled, or sent.

Sync the order in

  1. Fix whatever the check turned up in Shopify.

  2. If you added a customer or an address, save a small change to the order too, such as a note, so Shopify reports it as updated.

  3. In Streamlined, go to Settings > Integrations and click Sync Shopify on the Shopify card.

Sync Shopify imports what changed since the last sync. For an older order, click ▾ next to it and pick how far back to go: From 1 week ago, From 2 weeks ago, From 1 month ago, From 2 months ago, or From 3 months ago.

When a sync looks stuck

While a sync runs, the button reads Sync in progress and can't be clicked. A sync that reaches back months can take a while. You can leave the page and keep working. If it still says Sync in progress after a few hours, email help@streamlinedpayments.com.

When the order still doesn't appear

If an order passes every check and still doesn't appear, email help@streamlinedpayments.com with:

  • your store's .myshopify.com address;

  • the Shopify order numbers;

  • when you last synced, and which option you used.
