When a customer disputes an invoice, agrees to a payment plan, or says a check is in the mail, you can pause what Streamlined sends them. Reminders, late fees, and statement emails each have their own setting. Pause each one you need.
Pause automatic reminders
Reminders stop with a customer tag.
In Settings > Collections > Automated reminders, turn on Exclude customers based on tags.
Add a one-word tag, such as PAUSED, and click Save changes.
Open the customer's Profile tab and click Edit details (✎).
Add the same tag under Tags and click Save.
Reminders dated while the tag is on are skipped, not sent later. Customers on QuickPay don't get regular reminders anyway. See stop reminders for one customer.
Note: Reminders you send by hand with Send reminder still go out.
Pause late fees
Late fees stop through the exemption list, not tags.
Go to Settings > Collections and open Late fees.
Under Exemptions, click Manage exemptions.
Add the customer, or their whole customer group, and click Save.
Exempt customers aren't charged, and their emails stop mentioning fees. To remove a fee that was already added, see late fees.
Note: A tag in Balance adjustment notifications stops the email about a new fee, not the fee itself.
Pause statement emails
Go to Settings > Collections and open Account statements.
Under Exceptions, turn on Exclude customers based on tags.
Add your tag.
Click Save changes.
The tag stops the customer's own statement. It doesn't stop a statement for their customer group.
Tip: Use the same tag for reminders and statements, so one tag on the customer pauses both.
Start collections again
Remove the tag from the customer's Tags, and take them off the late fee exemption list. Reminders resume on their next scheduled date. Late fees apply again the next time an invoice qualifies.
Who can use this feature?
