Get paid through your customer's AP platform

Set up your bank details in BILL, Melio, Ramp, and other platforms your customers pay vendors from.

To get paid through a customer's accounts payable platform, such as BILL, Melio, or Ramp, give their AP team the bank details Streamlined assigned to that customer. They enter them as your payment method.

Get the customer's bank details

  1. Add the customer in Streamlined if they aren't there yet.

  2. Go to Customers, open the customer, and open the Billing tab.

  3. Under Billing preferences, click Download payment details.

  4. Send the PDF to your customer's AP team.

The PDF is on Streamlined letterhead and confirms the account belongs to you. See share your bank details with customers.

If you sell through Shopify, tick Shopify under Export when you add the customer, so their Shopify orders come in under the same customer. For a customer you already have, click Export to Shopify on their page.

Have them enter your details, not connect an account

Each customer has their own bank details, so each payment matches the right customer. A payment sent to details meant for another customer can't be matched automatically.

Most platforms let your customer type in your bank details or invite you to add them. If you have your own account there, they may also pick you from its network. Payments then go to the bank account in your account, not to that customer's details.

Note: However it's set up, check that the routing and account number on file for you are the ones from that customer's letter.

BILL

Your customer enters your details in the vendor record under Bank Deposit, or invites you to add them. BILL sends a small test deposit and pays by check until the account is verified, usually within 1 to 2 business days.

A BILL account holds one default bank account for receiving. If you accept invitations from several customers, they all pay into that one account. Ask each customer to enter their own details instead. See BILL's guides for adding a vendor's bank details and accepting an invitation as a vendor.

Melio

Your customer enters your bank details when they add you as a vendor, or chooses Ask vendor so Melio emails you a link. On that form, choose bank account, not check or card, and enter the details from your letter. If your customer picks you from Melio's network instead, they can't change where payments go. See Melio's guides for adding a vendor and what you see when a customer asks for your details.

Ramp

Your customer enters your details, or asks you to add them in Ramp's vendor portal. There, choose Link account manually and enter the details from your letter. If Ramp asks you to prove the account is yours, upload the Streamlined letter.

Ramp shares the first bank account you add with all your Ramp customers. Add each customer's details as a separate account, shared only with that customer. See Ramp's guides for adding your bank account as a vendor and confirming the account is yours.

Other platforms

In Coupa, Tipalti, AvidXchange, and others, add a bank transfer payment method with the details from that customer's letter. Where you can, share it only with that customer. If the platform asks for a document you don't have, email help@streamlinedpayments.com with the platform, what it asked for, and the customer's name.
